  Ryangang hotel,it was terrible.I didn't expect of People republic democracy of korea,But it was worse that I thought.I don't want to go to North Korea because of hotel.

  Stayed here not too long ago. Abysmal living conditions and their "activities" that they provide are awful. Many of them infact most likely violate Geneva conventions. Food Service was hectic and terrible as well, I asked for a medium rare steak and all I got was what looked like a horribly de-feathered bird not even cooked and a bowl of dry uncooked rice. Unrealistic proportions for $55.99 Says "pet friendly" but beware, they kicked my door in one night and shot my dog on the spot because he "Urinated on the Supreme Leaders beautiful shag carpeting" I'm not sure how they knew he peed on the floor. But they said it was "hotel policy" that i violated and that was my one and only warning.

  i had a wonderful stay at the ryanggang hotel! i decided to bring my dog to the hotel since it wsa pet friendly, but it was a shame when they took him for "grooming" and i ordered room service only to find that my dog was slaughtered and seasoned and served to me.

  Ryang Gang hideout, loot it for some cool gear just don't get caught.

  Stayed April,2012 during a major festival. I don’t think this hotel is typically used for Western tourists - at the time there were no online reviews of it. But evidently the better hotels were assigned to more important delegations and average tour groups like ours were bumped around. Even within the hotel there were different levels of quality, and we ended up in a wing that appeared to have been vacant quite awhile. The mattress was a board with a thick wool blanket over it. And the single light was plugged into an outlet that “popped” sparks over frayed carpet every time it was turned on. Friends got a better room and even had a real mattress One member of our group had a single room and one night he was called by the front desk and told he would be getting a roommate from another tour group. That person never showed up, but it gives you some idea as to the level of service. There was a non-rotating rotating restaurant on top of the hotel. And an odd karaoke bar in the basement. And The day after we arrived, Coca-Cola showed up in the gift shop
